About the project
A Secluded Forever Home
Our clients came to us with a beautiful, secluded plot and a clear vision: to create a forever home that balances spacious, modern living with the site’s unique natural character. Located within a conservation area, the project required a sensitive approach to scale and height, which we used as an opportunity to craft a home that feels perfectly nestled within its landscape while preserving a generous, wrap-around garden and private drive.
A ‘Welcome Home’ Arrival
From the moment you pass through the entrance gates, the house is designed to offer a sense of arrival. Upon entering, you are welcomed by a dramatic, full-height entrance hall featuring a striking suspended staircase. A wide, light-filled corridor—bordered by floor-to-ceiling glazing—acts as a gallery, drawing you toward the heart of the home.
Living in Harmony with the Landscape
The core of the residence is an expansive, vaulted kitchen, dining, and living space. This area flows seamlessly onto an outdoor patio sheltered by an extended roofline, allowing for comfortable alfresco living regardless of the weather. Throughout the house, we have utilized expansive glazing and folding sliding doors to dissolve the boundary between indoors and out, ensuring that the beauty of the garden is a constant backdrop to daily life.
