A Floating Centrepiece
Linking the two floor levels of this house is a floating staircase that cantilevers out from a concealed concrete wall. Rather than reading as a simple connection between floors, the staircase appears to defy gravity, creating a genuine wow moment at the heart of the living space.
Materials and Light
Finished in glass, stainless steel and oak, the staircase sits beneath a skylight that washes the treads in natural light throughout the day, reinforcing its sense of weightlessness.
