Our clients bought their house for its ideal location, with large gardens to the front and rear. But its 1970s-style architecture was never quite their vision for a family home.
About the project
A Complete Face Lift
They asked us to work with the existing building to give it a thorough face lift, both internally and externally, within their budget. We over-clad the brick and stone envelope with through-colour white render, replaced the existing PVC windows with hybrid metal and wood windows, and created a zinc-clad front bay window and entrance porch for genuine kerb appeal.
Tying It All Together
The existing chimneys were over-clad in dark grey zinc, and a single-level rear extension connects the garden to the house, substantially expanding the living accommodation.
