Architect in Underwood
Deep roof overhangs, vaulted ceilings, and rooms that open straight onto the garden: our new build on Alfreton Road was designed from the outset to be a standout house on its street, without sacrificing privacy inside.
Local experience
The plot was prominent enough that orientation mattered as much as the floor plan. We positioned the house and chose low-maintenance external cladding so it would read as a genuine feature home from the road, while keeping the interior shielded from passing eyes.

Frequently asked questions
Have you built a new home in Underwood before?
Yes, our Alfreton Road project was a new build designed and delivered from the ground up in the village, and we regularly take on new build projects across the wider Nottinghamshire area.
How long does planning permission take for a new build?
It varies, but a typical planning application takes around 8 weeks for a decision once submitted, sometimes longer if it goes to committee. We handle the drawings, the submission, and stay in contact with the planning officer throughout, so you're not managing that process alone.
